Policies and Procedures

  • To reschedule an assessment or tutoring session, please contact us by 2:00 pm during the school year or 12:00 pm during the summer on the scheduled day. Missed sessions without proper notice will be charged at the full rate. Lightbulb Learning Center may reschedule missed sessions at its discretion but does not offer refunds. A 10-minute arrival grace period is granted for both in-person and virtual sessions. Fall and Spring cohorts last 16-18 weeks, and any canceled sessions must be rescheduled within the designated cohort. Late arrivals will result in a shortened session with no adjustment to fees. Students have two make-up sessions per cohort, with additional make-ups at the discretion of Lightbulb Learning Center.

  • Fees are calculated based on the scheduled times, and no adjustments will be made for time lost due to late arrival. Students arriving late will receive tutoring for the remaining scheduled session time, with prolonged sessions at the discretion of Lightbulb Learning Center.

  • Students arriving more than 10 minutes late are considered no-shows. In the case of a no-show, the student remains responsible for the session payment, and no discounts or refunds will be provided.

  • During inclement weather, such as snow, sleet, hail, flooding, tornado, hurricane, or severe thunderstorm, the decision to hold the lesson in person or move it online will be at the discretion of the client/student and the tutor.

  • As part of our unwavering commitment, Lightbulb Learning Center adheres to a No Refund Policy for all services. Refund requests, regardless of the reason(s) provided by the Parent/Student, and irrespective of advance notice, will not be entertained. If cancellation occurs after payment, Lightbulb Learning Center will fulfill the remaining sessions, and the cancellation will take effect the following month. Exceptions may be considered for serious illness or the death of an immediate family member, with official documentation possibly required.

  • Late/ rescheduled payments are subject to a $25 late fee, including declined automatic payments. Two or more late payments may result in service cancellation, as tutoring slots per cohort are limited. Accounts not brought up to date within two weeks may risk losing their spot to a wait-listed student.

  • This tutoring agreement allows either party to terminate or modify the agreement with a written notice of (30) thirty days. In the event of termination by the Tutor, a refund may be issued based on any prorated balance owed, if applicable.

Upon cancellation of services, your last paid sessions will be scheduled. Any missed or canceled sessions at this point will be forfeited and will not be rescheduled or owed.
